Small Business Saturday has always been an important event to Louisville because of our community’s dedication to local business. Communities across the nation are encouraged to skip Black Friday, bypass large corporations and show their support for local businesses on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. This year, Beaded Treasures Project partnered with local dress boutique, Mabel and Moss, to celebrate Small Business Saturday in the Historic Highlands!

Absolutely smitten with this new lariat bar necklace by Louisville's own #local nonprofit @beadedtreasuresproject ✨ extra kudos to the maker for making the length adjustable by simply allowing the chain to slide easily to the desired length 🙌 Find this and more stylish handmade treasures in the shop now 👌💓 #geometric #hexagon #handmade #nonprofit #community #womenentrepreneurs #circleofempowerment . . . . . . . #lovelysquares #thevisualscollective #lariatnecklace #handmadejewelry #thatsdarling #sharegoodness #exploremore #visualsoflife #liveauthentic #traveller #fashion #instagramlab #wanderlust #livethelittlethings #instadaily #shootandshare #seeksimplicity #fairtrade #everythinglouisville #sharelouisville #louisvillelove #lovelouisville 🐞🍃

We showcased beautiful jewelry made by resettled refugee women to pair with the gorgeous dresses Mabel and Moss offers to local fashionistas. It was a huge success! Despite cold weather, a home UofL vs. UK game, and the shadow of large corporations’ Black Friday marketing, many came out to support us!

Yangjen made many of her popular jewelry styles available for purchase - the most popular being her Nepalese beaded bracelets (which will soon be made available for purchase online!). We also showcased our new dainty chain collection of jewelry, which Mabel and Moss will be keeping in stock!

Supporting locally resettled refugee women is crucial to enhancing the well-being of our community. Because of the community’s support, we are able to give them the opportunity to overcome economic and social barriers. With encouragement and love from the community we can give these women the tools they need to strive for success. You can also be a part of the movement that pushes us forward towards change by buying their jewelry! Mabel and Moss is now stocking Beaded Treasures’ jewelry, and we couldn’t be more excited! Many of our best-selling jewelry will be available to purchase, so you can look your very best this holiday season. Thank you again to Mabel and Moss and everyone that came out to support us!
