2016 Skills Training Workshops
Our Skills Training Workshops are jewelry-making 101 for women looking for an artistic outlet and for an avenue to supplement their incomes. We began providing our Skills Training Workshops to refugee women but have since expanded to encompass any woman looking to learn a new skill and build her confidence.
Skills Training Workshops are one day a week for three weeks. In each class, women learn to make a necklace, a bracelet, and a set of earrings. This introduction to jewelry making gives women a new beginning skill set!
Once finished with the Skills Training Workshops, they are then given the opportunity to form a ‘group’ and expand upon their jewelry-making skills in the pursuit of starting their own jewelry business enterprises.
Beyond the Skills Training Workshops, once a group is formed we provide entrepreneurship training, marketing advice, and financial literacy courses.
